Dealing with Disappointment

 Getting the success is just going through disappointment after disappointment without you losing enthusiasm. The disappointments aren't the issue. The issue is you don't have enough going on, where all the sudden one disappointment is extremely disappointing. People think "I need to get motivated to take action", but that's not true. If you'll take action, you'll get motivated. Motivation comes from making progress. You getting movement forward. Take a ton of action and drown out that disappointment with so much positive action forward that one disappointment is never disappointing.

(We can be all that much better (better). Do you know somebody who has a lot of talent but doesn't do anything with it? This ability to influence... Make that happen. What is possible for you is endless, what's stopping you is just an illusion.)

So how do you deal [with] it? How do you handle the disappointments that happen in business? How do you handle this disappointments that happen in sale? How do you handle the disappointments that happen in life? Look. If you don't want disappointments, you're [gonna] have to find another industry. If you don't want disappointments, you're going to have to find another thing to pursue other than success. Because really getting the success is just going through disappointment after disappointment after disappointment
without you losing enthusiasm. So how do you do that? How do you (how do you) get out [of] you know or get over disappointing things that are happening?

Because look, sometimes, I know, sometimes it feels like life is happening to you. But you got to know something. Life isn't
happening to you. If consider that life is happening for you, there's things that are happening in your life right now that on the surface it might seem like, "you know what? I can't believe this is happening to me." But down the road, you think [to] yourself "You know what? I'm so glad that happened."

Consider those things were happening for you. But I want to give you a strategy on this video since you tapped in. Since you're here watching this video. I want to give you a strategy you can take with you. Put in your life right now. You know, the issue is not disappointments. The issue isn't the problem client. The issue isn't bad things that are happening: your car stalled, you're going for a boy from break, broke up with you. Whatever it might be. The disappointments aren't the issue. The issue is you don't have enough going on, where all the sudden one disappointment is extremely disappointing.

And really what we need to look at is, [if you had] I'll give you an example. You know, if you are a real estate agent or you're in
sales, if you have so much business going on. You've got so much new business coming in, one deal falling through or one deal not going through isn't a disappointment. Right? It's just like "oh, okay. That's how ok let me focus on all these other ones" I mean for instance, if you had a listing that didn't sell, if you have ten other hot listings, [yeah, you want to get that client the best thing for that property and for that client] But if it doesn't work out, it's not so devastating because you've got all this other stuff going.

I guess what I'm trying to say is this: You want to have so much action out there and so many irons in the fire and so much movement forward that no one disappointment is ever that disappointing. Because here's really what ends up happening, when you take a lot of action, you're getting a lot of responses. You're getting a lot of results. You have so much positive things happening that one disappointment isn't that big of a deal, but for most of us, we're not taking enough action. And because of that the one disappointment, the one deal we had in escrow, [the one deal] the one realtor we had for our business. Whatever it might be, the one biz of business is devastating.

And so, what I want to promote, I want to ask you right here. And I want to challenge you to do is if you have disappointments in your life right now. You have things that are just going on that are "Gosh," they just drain you down a little bit. Get motivated. Get some action going and when I say get motivated, I don't mean like "Yeah. I'm gonna get all excited!" I mean like, get enough movement going that motivates you.

I think that's one of the things that [really] a lot of people misunderstand. They think I need to get motivated to take action, but that's not true. If you'll take action, you'll get motivated. Really what motivation comes from is you making progress. You getting movement forward. [when I] When I clean [up] the house, I feel good. When I make my calls, I feel good. Those are the things that get you motivated.
